Through difficult and uncertain times, I have constantly tried to challenge myself, forgive myself, and push myself beyond my own limitations. The struggles I have faced in my own life have ultimately impacted the person and therapist I have become. This is what I will bring to my work with you: a sense of authenticity and vulnerability, as well as support, empathy, and compassion. One of my favorite quotes is from Ayesha Siddiqi: "Be the person you needed when you were younger." As your therapist, I want to help you become that person.
Do you feel like you give the best advice to others but have difficulties navigating your own life? If so, I welcome the opportunity to work with you. A common misconception about therapy is that it is only for those who are experiencing a crisis. In reality, most people seeking therapy are not in crisis but instead are struggling with various aspects of their lives; therapy can be utilized as a processing roadmap throughout your journey.
I consider myself to be a young, innovative professional who is ready to help you reach your life goals and provide support through any setbacks that you may encounter. My specialties include family systems, grief and loss, shame and guilt, trauma, adolescents, mental health, addictions, and recovery. I incorporate a variety of methods including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. Just like my clients, all therapy and treatment methods are individualized for the best overall support.
As your therapist, my desire is to help you improve self-esteem, build confidence, facilitate self-forgiveness, and promote self-awareness and self-reliance. I will meet you where you are, identify your needs, and help facilitate your growth. Clients often feel the need to accomplish goals on their own while feeling frustrated, desperate, or overwhelmed; however, with some support and processing, you can gain insight and awareness about yourself and learn new strategies for managing and/or overcoming whatever challenges you face. In our work together, you can learn to conquer your fears, reach your potential, and embrace your true self.
